All Of Me video

Jun 07 2013

Working with Wilk, an admired visual artist with whom Blasko has collaborated on many occasions, the pair set out to create a performance based video for ‘All Of Me’ that was at once, equally beautiful and strange.

More akin to the art house films of Béla Tarr and Michelangelo Antonioni than a pop video, Wilk says of the process: “I took the song literally: lyrically and emotionally. Sarah wanted something intimate, simple. The result is an unconventional single take video. The altered state of Sarah’s appearance and her apparent nudity is in purpose devoid of sexuality, replacing it with honesty, bravery and intimacy.”

Blasko adds: “We wanted to blur the border between the natural and the unnatural. The song itself likens falling in love to the purity of being a newborn but love is also at its best when it comes from a place of understanding and experience.”
